Kakani’s research program is geared toward increasing the production potential of fuel, food, feed and fiber crops (crop, native and exotic), which includes improving crop tolerance to water, temperature and other abiotic stresses. His research incorporates agronomic management, physiological and molecular tools, crop models and remote sensing.
